Kitchen appliance manufacturer buys land for Goodyear plant expansion

Staff Phoenix Business Journal Kitchen appliance maker Sub-Zero Inc. has bought more land in Goodyear for an expansion of its West Valley production plant. The Madison, Wisc.-based manufacturer paid $2 million for an 11.5-acre parcel, according to the Arizona Republic. Sub-Zero already gets a lower 5 percent tax rate on its existing facility because it is in a Foreign Trade Zone. The company makes refrigerators, freezers and kitchen appliances including under the Wolf brand name. Sub-Zero also manufacturing in its home state and Kentucky.
